Head of the Interventional Neuroradiology Section

Graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and specialist in Radiodiagnosis from the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital. She has worked at the Institute of Diagnostics for Image at the Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona, where she has carried out her activity in the Neuroradiology and Interventional Radiology sections. Dr. Josep Trueta has been a researcher in medical imaging at the Girona Biomedical Research Institute and has been part of the Graphics & Imaging Laboratory (Gllab) of the University of Girona. He is co-author of several original articles on the diagnostic and prognostic utility of Magnetic Resonance and Computed Tomography in acute stroke. Since 2014 he has been working in the Interventional Neuroradiology Unit of the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and since 2020 he has been the Clinical Head of this Unit. His main area of interest is neuroradiology in acute ischaemic stroke from the diagnostic and interventional therapeutic point of view, having participated as principal investigator in several trials and clinical records on endovascular therapy in stroke.
